Living with an untreated anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions can impact more than your daily life, it can also affect your physical health, either by making existing health problems worse, or causing serious problems to develop.

 We provide convenient, quality counseling, psychiatric mental health treatment to help improve our patient’s overall health.

Our Behavioral Health professionals offer affordable behavioral health treatment, including Adult Psychiatry, Medication Management, Mental Health Case Management and Adult and Adolescent Counseling.

Medication Assistance

Medications may be prescribed by one of our Psychiatrists. We offer a 340B medication assistance program that provides medications at a greatly reduced cost for those that qualify based on income.

We accept Medicaid, Medicare and most insurances.  A Sliding Fee Scale is available as well for those that qualify based on their income levels.

Our Behavioral Health Professionals

Our Behavioral Health team is made up of Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) and Psychiatrists. All have many years of experience and have practiced in the Champaign Urbana community

James Hamilton, LCPC Behavioral Health Director

 Jim is a the Director of Behavioral Health at Promise Healthcare. He has lived and worked in the Champaign Urbana community for over 15 years. He received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and his Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Illinois. He sees general mental health conditions and trauma informed treatment at our Neil Street location.

Hayng sung Yang, MD

Dr. Hayng Yang is a Board Certified Psychiatrist at Promise Healthcare. He graduated from Chun Nam National University / College Of Medicine in 1969 and completed his residency at Rush University. He treats general behavioral health disorders including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as other behavioral health conditions. Dr. Yang sees patients at our Neil Street location.

Feiteng Su, MD

Dr. Feiteng Su is a Board Certified Psychiatrist at Promise Healthcare. He graduated from Second Military University and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He treats general behavioral health disorders including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as other behavioral health conditions. Dr. Su sees patients at our Neil Street Location.

Tiffany Johnson-Bey, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Tiffany completed her education at Waldwin University and is excited to begin her career with Promise Healthcare as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Tiffany is a dedicated mental health professional who is committed to helping others improve their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. She strongly encourages her patients to prioritize their health by getting regular check-ups, exercising, and maintaining a healthy diet, while avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption. Tiffany firmly believes that these choices can have a positive impact on overall health.

Counselors

Cindy Lam, LCPC

Cindy Lam is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Promise Healthcare. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in Education from Olivet Nazarene University. Cindy sees adult patients at our Neil Street and Frances Nelson location and adolescent patients at the Urbana School Health Center.

Theresa Kircher, MSW, LCSW

Theresa Kircher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Promise Healthcare. Theresa has been a LCSW since 1997 and will be working as a mental health counselor at the Urbana School Health Center as well as seeing patients at the Neil Street Clinic.
