James Hamilton

Behavioral Health Director
Jim received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University.
His areas of clinical interest include Trauma-Informed Care, LGBTQ+ Culture Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice.
Jim has been a behavioral health provider for over 20 years. He finds value in his work by providing access to care for underserved populations. He encourages all his patients by letting them know that change is possible.
Jim is married and has one adult son and two rescue cats. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, traveling, Chicago and Illinois sports.
He also volunteers with Community Equity and Diversity, programs that improve access to social services.
Hayng Sung Yang
MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Yang attended Chonnam National Medical School in Korea and completed his Internship at Cook County Hospital.
He was a Resident in Psychiatry at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke Hospital. Dr. Yang’s areas of clinical interest include bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorder, psychosis, and PTSD.
He has been a behavioral health provider since 1977.
Dr. Yang feels accomplished when his patients have improved, are doing well, and are able to seek employment.
He cannot achieve this success without the cooperation of his patients. He likes to have effective communication with is patients and he encourages them to stop using drugs, to quit smoking, to limit alcohol intake and exercise.
In his free time, Dr. Yang enjoys reading, golf, and seeing the grandchildren.
You might also find him volunteering at a homeless shelter, alcohol or drug rehab program, an emergency shelter for mentally ill people, or at the community mental health center.
Feiteng Su
MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Su attended Second Military Medical School in Shanghai, P. R. China and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed his residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has been a provider for over 20 years.
Dr. Su specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. He is excited to help people regain control of their life.
He encourages every patient to follow medical advice, to keep appointments, to take medications and to take an active role in their journey. He wants patients to know he is here to help whenever they need him.
Dr. Su is very family oriented and is married with two adult children. In his free time, he enjoys shopping, exercising, and collecting stamps and coins.
He likes to serve the community by supporting the Community Resource Center.
Jessica Mandrell
MSN, PMHNP
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Jessica received her education from Richland Community College, Indiana Wesleyan, and Walden University. She has worked in healthcare for over fifteen years.
Jessica sees patients 5 & up.
Jessica is passionate about learning about each patient and providing personal, individualized, holistic care. Working with the patient, Jessica believes they can collaboratively set treatment goals and support growth toward attaining improved mental health and an excellent quality of life.
Jessica loves practicing yoga, reading, hiking, exploring museums, watching true crime documentaries, and playing with her kids in her free time. We love going to" visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.”
A fun fact about Jessica is that she went to Australia during her undergrad education for an International Scholars Program, where she learned about women's health services and the universal healthcare program—and went skydiving!
Phelicia Puryear
MSW, LSW
Mental Health Counselor
Phelicia sees patients five and up at Promise Healthcare - Neil on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and Promise Healthcare - Rantoul on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Phelicia completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Southern Illinois University and her master’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also interned at the STRIDES shelter in Champaign.
Phelicia is very passionate about mental health.
She is incredibly passionate about assisting in the destigmatization of mental health in our minority communities. This will help encourage patients to seek treatment.
Phelicia has been in the mental health field for 11 years but is a new therapy provider. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, treating the mind, body, and soul.
Phelicia has two children and a one-year-old pit bull puppy.
She enjoys Marvel movies, reading, watching crime and medical TV, spending time with her children, and working in some self-care time when possible.
She is very passionate about activities and programming
that encourage positive influences on the youth, i.e., Boy Scouts, youth sports (First String), etc.
