Melonie graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has been working in medicine since 1994 and as a nurse practitioner, focusing on Family Practice, since 2003.
Melonie is excited to provide primary care to her patients and she enjoys learning from them. She wants to be able to help guide a patient’s health so they can have the wealth of wealthy and the happiness that hope brings.
When Melonie is not at work, you will find her outside, listening to all types of music and spending time with her family, her pet turtle, her chickens, and her little dog.
Melonie also enjoys volunteering and giving back to her community.
Sonja E. Hansen

Dr. Sonja received degrees from Westmont College and Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University. Dr Sonja is a board-certified family physician and has been practicing medicine since 1999.
Dr. Sonja loves to encourage patients to improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. She lives in Champaign with her husband and two children.

Shelly Tangen

Shelly received her education from the University of Illinois.
She started her career as a nurse in 1993 but took some time off to raise her daughters. She went back to school to become a NP (Nurse Practitioner) and graduated in 2016. She started at Promise Healthcare in 2017.
Shelly is passionate about caring for the community and ensuring that patients receive the care they deserve and get the help they need. She encourages patients to advocate for their healthcare, ask questions, and do research because they will never be disappointed in taking care of their health.
In her free time, Shelly enjoys spending time with her spouse of 24 years, her three children, and her puppy. She is active in the community and supports CUPHD (Champaign Urbana Public Health District) and Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. Her daughters started Project Warmth to collect winter coats and donate them to patients at the Frances Nelson Clinic.

Dayana received her education at Chamberlain University and is a certified family nurse practitioner.
She has clinical interest in preventative care, women’s health, and pediatrics. Dayana has been practicing for over two years.
Dayana enjoys working with patients of all ages and positively impacting their health. She encourages patients to make lifestyle modifications, including healthy eating habits and regular exercise because it protects both physical and mental health.
In her free time, she likes to travel, cook, and spend time with family. She is married and the mother of two children.

Jenny Daab

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Jenny earned degrees from Indiana University- Purdue University at Indianapolis and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She has served as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Promise Healthcare Urbana School Health Center since 2013 and specializes in health education and preventative care.
She enjoys teaching young patients the habits and daily patterns that will lead to healthier lifestyles and long-term wellness, and she is passionate about finding ways to inspire her patients to get active outdoors.
Jenny encourages parents and children to get outside any time they can to take advantage of the many mental and physical health benefits of outdoor play.
Jenny is an avid nature lover and likes to hike, kayak, and read in her spare time. She is married, has two teenagers and a dog.
She gives back to the community by volunteering for the Upper Sangamon River Conservancy cleaning the Sangamon River of trash and the roadways around the Sangamon River of trash to prevent it from ending up in the river.

James Hamilton

Jim received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University.
His areas of clinical interest include Trauma-Informed Care, LGBTQ+ Culture Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice.
Jim has been a behavioral health provider for over 20 years. He finds value in his work by providing access to care for underserved populations. He encourages all his patients by letting them know that change is possible.
Jim is married and has one adult son and two rescue cats. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, traveling, Chicago and Illinois sports.
He also volunteers with Community Equity and Diversity, programs that improve access to social services.
Hayng Sung Yang

Dr. Yang attended Chonnam National Medical School in Korea and completed his Internship at Cook County Hospital.
He was a Resident in Psychiatry at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke Hospital. Dr. Yang’s areas of clinical interest include bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorder, psychosis, and PTSD.
He has been a behavioral health provider since 1977.
Dr. Yang feels accomplished when his patients have improved, are doing well, and are able to seek employment.
He cannot achieve this success without the cooperation of his patients. He likes to have effective communication with his patients, and he encourages them to stop using drugs, to quit smoking, to limit alcohol intake and to exercise.
In his free time, Dr. Yang enjoys reading, golf, and seeing his grandchildren.
You might also find him volunteering at a homeless shelter, alcohol or drug rehab program, an emergency shelter for mentally ill people, or at the community mental health center.
Feiteng Su

Dr. Su attended Second Military Medical School in Shanghai, P. R. China, and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed his residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has been a provider for over 20 years.
Dr. Su specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. He is excited to help people regain control of their lives.
He encourages every patient to follow medical advice, to keep appointments, to take medications and to take an active role in their journey. He wants patients to know he is here to help whenever they need him.
Dr. Su is very family-oriented and is married with two adult children. In his free time, he enjoys shopping, exercising, and collecting stamps and coins.
He likes to serve the community by supporting the Community Resource Center.

Tiffany completed her education at Walden University and is excited to begin her career with Promise Healthcare as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Tiffany is a dedicated mental health professional who is committed to helping others improve their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. She strongly encourages her patients to prioritize their health by getting regular check-ups, exercising, and maintaining a healthy diet, while avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
Tiffany firmly believes that these choices can have a positive impact on overall health.
In her free time, Tiffany enjoys traveling and exploring nature. She is also passionate about supporting youth programs and believes that positive mentors are essential for the well-being of young people.
Despite being a mother of seven children, two grandchildren, and a dog, Tiffany was able to successfully juggle her family responsibilities with her education. She completed each of her degrees on time without taking any breaks.
Megan Leech

Megan Leech sees patients six and up and will practice at Promise Healthcare-Rantoul on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the Promise Healthcare-Urbana locations on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Megan completed her studies at Frontier Nursing University.
She has been practicing as a provider for four years.
In addition to being a mental health psychiatric nurse practitioner, she is also a certified nurse midwife.
Megan loves all aspects of mental health, especially pediatrics, and helping women with perinatal and postpartum mental health issues.
She emphasizes patients should "Be Kind to their Mind! Mental Healthcare is important to every aspect of our lives."
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her sons, jogging (Megan has run two full marathons), and traveling to the Caribbean.
Megan believes in the Red Cross's work and believes donating blood is very important.
Phelicia Puryear

Phelicia completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Southern Illinois University and then her master’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Phelicia also spent time as an intern at the STRIDES shelter in Champaign.
Phelicia is very passionate about mental health.
She is incredibly passionate about assisting in the destigmatization of mental health in our minority communities. This will help encourage patients to seek treatment.
Phelicia has been in the mental health field for 11 years but is a new therapy provider. She believes there needs to be a holistic approach to healthcare, treating the mind, body, and soul.
Phelicia has two children and a one-year-old pit bull puppy.
She enjoys Marvel movies, reading, watching crime and medical TV, spending time with her children, and working in some self-care time when possible.
She is very passionate about activities and programming
that encourage positive influences on the youth, i.e., Boy Scouts, youth sports (First String), etc.

Jessica is passionate about learning about each patient and providing personal, individualized, holistic care. Working together with the patient, Jessica believes they can collaboratively set treatment goals and support growth toward attaining improved mental health and greater quality of life.
During her free time, Jessica loves practicing yoga, reading, hiking, exploring museums, watching true crime documentaries, and playing with her kids. “We love going to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.”
A fun fact about Jessica is that she went to Australia during her undergrad education for an International Scholars Program, where she learned about women's healthcare services and the universal healthcare program—and went skydiving!

Dr. Coker would like every patient to remember that brushing for 2 minutes 2 times a day and seeing your dentist helps bring about a great smile.
Outside of the dental operatory, Dr. Coker likes to travel, play golf, and bake.
Myoungsu Song

Dr. Song earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University and has been practicing dentistry for a few years.
Dr. Song enjoys seeing the smiles of patients after they are done with the procedure and is extremely passionate about learning how to reduce the anxiety of patients in dental practice.
He wishes every patient understood that poor health makes everyone unhappy - your friends, family, and yourself. Being a good role model with good health can also motivate your children and family. It is not only the health care professionals that should be improving the health of the population, but patients must try hard as well. The improvement of health can be achieved more effectively when the doctor-patient relationship is more like teamwork than any authority.
Some fun facts about Dr. Song: he enjoys playing and watching soccer and was the captain of his high school varsity soccer team. He also served two years in the military in the Republic of Korea.
In his free time, Dr. Song likes to watch movies, listen to music, play soccer or tennis, and work out.

Ashtyn Wilcox, RDH, PHDH received her Dental Hygiene Degree at Lake Land College. Ashtyn has also obtained her Public Health Dental Hygienist certification.
Ashtyn is passionate about helping the patients in our community achieve optimal oral health. She would like each patient to know that oral health is connected to their overall health. This means brushing and flossing and seeing a dentist at least every 6 months is encouraged.
Ashtyn believes patients should choose Promise Healthcare because our dental staff goes above and beyond to create a healthy and enjoyable experience for their patients.
Ashtyn has a very extensive water/coffee cup collection. When she is away from work, she likes reading books, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time with her mini-goldendoodle, Charlie.
